Pipe band’s haggis dinner date

TICKETS are still available for the Parnell Memorial Pipe Band’s 14th dinner dance taking place on Saturday at Jacob’s Well in Rathdrum.

This year marks the band’s 30th anniversary and Joe Doyle’s band ‘Take Two’ will provide the music on the night. The pipe band will also be performing.

Haggis, neeps and tatties are all offered as an optional extra to the second dish of a three course meal.

Guests are asked to arrive at 7.30 p.m. so they are settled down so for the piping in of the haggis between 8 p.m. and 8.30 p.m..

Tickets are available from band members and some tickets may be purchased at the door. Tickets ore €25 each. Seats can also be reserved by phoning Richard Flockhart on (087) 2721317 or Breda Kelly on (087) 6821416. Over the past 30 years, 49 pipers and 86 drummer have marched in the band’s uniform.
