CBAI. (Contract Bridge Association of Ireland). This event is especially designated for novice players and those graded as intermediate B players of any club of the Eastern Region. Many players will assemble at 7.15 p.m. and there will be a great welcome on the mat in the Dominican Ecology Centre in Wicklow Town, by kind permission of the Dominican Sisters. Refreshments will be served and there will be winners prizes for the different sections. The Tournament director will be Bernadette Rowntree for the evening.

The Grand Slam Bridge Club will hope to play rubber bridge games for those members who are not eligible as novices or B grade players. Rubber bridge being the original of the species and has some interesting challenging differences to the normal duplicate game that most people play today. All will be revealed next Wednesday. There will be no novice lessons next week. Looking forward to a very different evening’s bridge game.
