SHEEP SALES REPORT – TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11: 5,464 sheep on offer. Good trade for the nice quality breeding ewes. Fat and store lambs similar trade to last week.

Butcher lambs €100 to €103 or €51 to €57; Factory lambs €90 to €100 or €46 to €54; store lambs €64 to €87 or €32 to €46; Fat ewes €100 to €128; Feeding ewes €66 to €100; Suffolk x breeding Hoggets €140 to €190; Suffolk x 3 and 4 yr old ewes €100 to €135; Suffolk x Ewe lambs €90 to €135 or €50 to €85; Cheviot breeding Hoggets €150 to €230 per head with a top of €257; Cheviot 3 and 4 yr old ewes €120 to €190; Cheviot Ewe lambs €90 to €165 or €50 to €120.

CATTLE SALES REPORT – THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13: 316 cattle and 21 calves on offer. Bigger, stronger cattle met with a sililar trade to last week. Smaller, plainer types still meeting a very tough trade.
