WICK­LOW De­men­tia Sup­port will hold a char­ity art ex­hi­bi­tion on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 25, at 7.30 p.m. at the Pop Up Gallery, La Touche Place, Grey­stones.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will raise funds for Wick­low De­men­tia Sup­port. This ex­hi­bi­tion will in­clude works from over a dozen lo­cal artists in­clud­ing Michael Gem­mell, Nicky Kruse­man, and Pa­trick Wal­she, who have gen­er­ously do­nated works to be raf­fled on the night.

An ad­mis­sion do­na­tion of €10 will in­clude a glass of wine and a raf­fle ticket with all funds go­ing to Wick­low De­men­tia Sup­port. Also ex­hib­ited will be four works from stu­dents at St Ger­ard’s School, Bray who are cur­rently rais­ing funds and sub­mit­ting their art­work for a com­pe­ti­tion.

The Pop Up Gallery will then be opened 10 a.m. un­til 5 p.m., Fri­day to Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 26 to 28, with 50 per cent of all sales go­ing to the char­ity.

Wick­low De­men­tia Sup­port aims to sup­port the per­son with de­men­tia to stay in their home and their own com­mu­nity for as long as pos­si­ble. It runs a be­friend­ing pro­gram (AlzPals), so­cial clubs (AlzClubs) for the per­son with de­men­tia and their ca­reer, Mem­ory Lane Mu­sic Group, Carer Sup­port Groups, Meet and Eat Pro­gram, cul­tural out­ings, and other so­cial get-to­geth­ers through­out the year.
