De­tails for the big day

WICK­LOW GAA have re­leased de­tails for sup­port­ers trav­el­ling to Joule Park Aughrim for the IFC and SFC fi­nals this dunay, Oc­toebr 14.

Clubs bring­ing buses with sup­port­ers or teams must be in the venue by 2pm, af­ter this Buses will not be al­lowed en­ter the grounds, it would be very much ap­pre­ci­ated if you can let us know if your club is bring­ing any buses so we can ar­range spa­ces.

There will be some bar­ri­ers set up at the houses around the grounds, we would ask that these are obeyed and we re­spect the res­i­dents on the day.

No cars will be al­lowed park on the bank near the turn­stiles on the stand side, as last year we had an is­sue get­ting the am­bu­lance out. If any mem­ber of your club needs to re­main in their car please ad­vise us and we will ar­range a space on bank near The West gate, we will is­sue you with an email which can be shown to the ste­ward on the day, oth­er­wise they will not be al­lowed en­try.

Fol­low­ing the Darcy Sand In­ter­me­di­ate fi­nal the pre­sen­ta­tion will be made in the stand, sup­port­ers will have to walk around as there will be no en­try on to pitch. Please ad­vise all sup­port­ers.

Pa­trons leav­ing af­ter the In­ter­me­di­ate foot­ball fi­nal must wait 15 min­utes af­ter the fi­nal whis­tle and exit through the west gate only.

‘If leav­ing af­ter the In­ter­me­di­ate game we would ask that you park up on the ter­race side near the exit gate, please ad­vise the ste­ward and they will di­rect you, this is to help you get out quickly,’ said the state­ment.

Park­ing in the grounds will be first come ba­sis, af­ter that there will be car parks near the Joule Park.

‘We would ask that clubs re­frain from us­ing the smoke flairs as last year a sup­porter be­came ill. We have no is­sue with the bal­loons.

‘If clubs wish to have an un­der-7 team line out at the dress­ing room as your team en­ter the pitch, that is fine, we will ar­range if you let us know. There is a pa­rade in the Se­nior game only and young chil­dren will not be al­lowed take part in the pa­rade.

Cham­pi­onship reg­u­la­tions will be en­forced so we would ask all clubs in­volved to please look over them again ad­vise your men­tors and com­ply with all listed,’ added the state­ment.
