Ciarán clocks up his 100th victory
COOLBOY jockey Ciarán Gethings clocked up his 100th winner last weekend when he steered 6/1 shot Classic Ben home to victory in the 888Sport Masters Handicap Chase at Sandown Park Racecourse.
Gethings is having a superb year in the saddle across the water with wins coming thick and fast since he got the year underway with a victory on New Year’s Day.
There were plenty of posts of support online for the young County Wicklow man with Ciarán’s mother Mary writing that herself and husband Hugh narrowly avoided knocking over the television while watching the race!
