TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

The following are the upcoming walks for Tinahely Walking Club. February 10: Ballycumbe­r, Level B, 12km, 3.5 hours. Meet Tinahely 10.30 a.m. February 17: Ballymanus, Level B, 10km, three hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food and drink.

BALLYELLIS NATIONAL SCHOOL

Enrolment forms are now available for those wishing to enrol in September 2019. If you know of anyone wishing to have a child enrolled in Ballyellis please inform them that these forms are now available. Friday, January 25 winner of split-the-pot is Celia Nolan, Ballytarsn­a – winning €167. We thank everyone for supporting split-thepot. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Masses in Askamore Church. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.

GREEN SCHOOLS

All Saints National School are working towards their fifth Green school flag ‘Global citizenshi­p Litter and waste’ we want a clean world and we are working hard to encourage everyone to reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We are also making ‘Eco Bricks’ where we put any plastic that can’t be recycled into a two liter bottle, when we have enough bottles we will make our own furniture with it, we encourage everyone to do the same.

Rathdangan Drama Group will take to the stage with their production of ‘Try anything Twice’ by William Roche. This is a comedy that promises to offer a barrel of laughs. It will hit the stage on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of February, 22, 23, 24, also on the following weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 1, 2, three.

Tickets are €10 for adults, €5 per child under-12 and are available from the Village Pantry or phone Séamus at 086 3443805 or Filie at 085 1009244. Book early to avoid disappoint­ment.

RAMBLER’S SEISUN

The next Ramblers Seisun takes place in O’Toole Memorial Hall, Rathdangan on Friday, February 15. This is a great night of song, music, stories and laughter.
