The new In­ter­na­tio­nal Cri­mi­nal Court in The Ha­gue, de­si­gn Sch­midt Ham­mer Las­sen Ar­chi­tec­ts, em­bo­dies the con­cep­ts of ju­sti­ce and trans­pa­ren­cy that are cen­tral to the in­sti­tu­tion it hou­ses. An ad­di­tio­nal streng­th of the pro­ject are the in­te­riors, de­si­gned wi­th stu­dio Bo­sch & Fjord, who fo­cu­sed on re­spec­ting the wor­king con­di­tions of em­ployees (the­re are 1,200 work­sta­tions) and paid at­ten­tion to views and na­tu­ral lighting. The com­plex, wi­th six to­wers that are con­nec­ted to ea­ch other on the ground floor and fir­st floor, co­vers an area of 46,000 squa­re me­tres and co­sted 190 mil­lion eu­ros.
