A Pitt­sbur­gh un’in­te­res­san­te mo­stra a cu­ra del mu­seo dell’Uni­ver­si­tà Car­ne­gie Mel­lon L’in­te­res­se per l’ar­chi­tet­tu­ra con­tem­po­ra­nea in Su­da­me­ri­ca è in co­stan­te cre­sci­ta. Lo di­mo­stra l’espo­si­zio­ne Buil­ding Op­ti­mi­sm: Pu­blic Spa­ce in Sou­th Ame­ri­ca in cor­so, fi­no al 13 feb­bra­io 2017, al Car­ne­gie Mu­seum of Art a Pitt­sbur­gh. La mo­stra pre­sen­ta di­ciot­to progetti con­tem­po­ra­nei pro­ve­nien­ti da Bra­si­le, Ci­le, Co­lom­bia, Pa­ra­guay, Pe­rù e Ve­ne­zue­la e ha il pre­gio di riu­ni­re e met­te­re a con­fron­to ope­re pub­bli­che già ac­cla­ma­te, co­me le scuo­le e le in­fra­strut­tu­re spor­ti­ve di Me­del­lín di Gian­car­lo Maz­zan­ti o Plan B; i pia­ni per la ri­co­stru­zio­ne po­st ter­re­mo­to del 2009 or­che­stra­ti da Pe­zo von Ell­ri­ch­shau­sen sul­la co­sta ci­le­na e gli in­ter­ven­ti di au­to­ri stra­nie­ri co­me il cen­tro spor­ti­vo di Her­zog & de Meu­ron a Na­tal in Bra­si­le o l’edi­fi­cio dell’uni­ver­si­tà Utec di Graf­ton Ar­chi­tec­ts a Li­ma. La di­spo­si­zio­ne dei ma­te­ria­li è una con­fer­ma dell’abi­li­tà de­gli ar­chi­tet­ti su­da­me­ri­ca­ni nell’in­ter­lo­qui­re con un pub­bli­co non spe­cia­liz­za­to. (Fa­bri­zio Gal­lan­ti) The in­te­re­st in con­tem­po­ra­ry Sou­th Ame­ri­ca ar­chi­tec­tu­re is gro­wing stea­di­ly. This is evi­den­ced by the ex­hi­bi­tion Buil­ding Op­ti­mi­sm: Pu­blic Spa­ce in Sou­th Ame­ri­ca cur­ren­tly un­der­way, up to Fe­brua­ry 13, at the Car­ne­gie Mu­seum of Art in Pitt­sbur­gh. The ex­hi­bi­tion pre­sen­ts eighteen con­tem­po­ra­ry projects from Bra­zil, Chi­le, Co­lom­bia, Pa­ra­guay, Pe­ru and Ve­ne­zue­la, and has the ad­van­ta­ge of being able to draw from and com­pa­re al­rea­dy ac­clai­med pu­blic ar­chi­tec­tu­res, li­ke the schools and sports in­fra­struc­tu­re in Me­del­lín by Gian­car­lo Maz­zan­ti and Plan B; the plans to re­build fol­lo­wing the 2009 ear­th­qua­ke car­ried out by Pe­zo von Ell­ri­ch­shau­sen along the Chi­lean coa­st and the in­ter­ven­tions by fo­rei­gn au­thors li­ke the sport cen­tre by Her­zog & de Meu­ron in Na­tal, Bra­zil, or the UTEC uni­ver­si­ty buil­ding by Graf­ton Ar­chi­tec­ts in Li­ma. The ar­ran­ge­ment of the ma­te­rials echoes the abi­li­ty of the be­st Sou­th Ame­ri­can ar­chi­tec­ts to con­ver­se wi­th the ge­ne­ral pu­blic
