Having recently celebrated the centenary of its “very own” Achille Castiglioni, with a special showroom window display designed by Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla, for Design Week Zanotta presents a reworking of the old Porta Garibaldi tollhouse, where the new showroom is located. As architect Calvi himself says, this will also be used for the stand at the fair: “The architectural structure of the large space will repeat that of the tollhouse, with the use of lightboxes and a visually striking grille system inspired by rationalism, translated into a set of beams and pillars. The narrative expedient based on “personalities” and areas of taste will also enable us to divide up the spaces and create settings that allude to the theme of collecting, of bringing together various objects to interpret the brand.” Meanwhile, at the actual tollhouse, Calvi concludes, we will see “a new product assortment, with prominence given to Castiglioni’s Albero plantpot stand, recently re-released in a limited series.”
