Nato come ospedale di carità nel Xii secolo, nel 2010 il Grand Hôtel-dieu di lione è “andato in pensione”. classificato come monumento storico, di recente è stato oggetto di un intervento di restauro su progetto di albert constantin e didier repellin. Già inaugurati boutiques, ristoranti e uffici; per il 2019 si attende l’apertura di un albergo a cinque stelle, un centro congressi e la cittadella della gastronomia. Finanziato esclusivamente con fondi privati e con oltre 10mila presenze annue stimate, è destinato a diventare il nuovo centro della vita commerciale della città. Financed entirely by private funding, the complex is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors a year and is set to become the new commercial centre of the city.
