Winkler Hotels in Val Pusteria
In Val Pusteria there is a chain of three hotels that is family run and which represents an exemplary story of resilience and inspiration. The original owners Walter and Maria passed on the reigns to the present day Kurt and Miriam who are responsible for the latest brilliant investments and renewed energy, a combination that is sure to guarantee a solid future for the coming years. The three Winkler Hotels cater to a diverse public whose preferences include vacations that bring together mountain sports, wellness and delicious food along with exceptional hospitality standards. The first structure that kicked off this tradition was the Lanerhof of San Lorenzo di Sebato, presently run by Kurt and Monika Winkler, who generously care for their guests in the structure’s 90 rooms and suites and residence apartments. The recognizable alpine identity is strong; guests are immediately immersed in the warm and intimate atmosphere typical of a Family Hotel. Another of the properties is the Sonnenhof Hotel that is decidedly more exclusive and proves to be the ideal location for couples and those who are searching for a private and quite stay. The structure is strategically placed to be perfectly exposed to the sun, which completely enriches the outdoor pool experience. Last but most decisively not least is the Winkler Hotel, run by Miriam Winkler and her husband Christof Schuster, who have recently completed a total renovation of the original building changing the traditional Sport Hotel to a Luxury Destination Hotel. Those who frequented the hotel before will find it completely different; the new spaces are designed to enhance the curated design and architectural details, what remains undisturbed though is the sweeping panorama of forests, meadows and mountain peaks that envelope the guests in a relaxing atmosphere both in the SPA’S outdoor area and the terraced bar. The concept of the project was to create a space that is exclusive without sacrificing the needs of families who may be visiting, especially as these are the core clients of the Winkler group. What does remain consistent between the three structures is the unique menu of treatments and activities offered (no less than 150) that include physiotherapy, gastronomy, nature, sport and both indoor and outdoor activities.
