This is how Pa­tri­cia Ur­quio­la’s ar­chi­tec­tu­re reworks the ar­che­ty­pe of the ru­ral ho­me on Ibi­za The gen­tly slo­ping pro­mon­to­ry on the ea­stern coa­st of Ibi­za en­joys a spec­ta­cu­lar 360° view, ful­ly cap­tu­red by the pro­ject si­gned Pa­tri­cia Ur­quio­la, in­ter­na­tio­nal­ly ac­clai­med ar­chi­tect and de­si­gner. Ever sin­ce she was ten, Pa­tri­cia has lo­ved spen­ding part of her sum­mer ho­li­days on the island, in the fa­mi­ly ho­me, a clas­sic fin­ca. “I ha­ve clo­se ties wi­th the ca­sa de cam­po cul­tu­re,” she says. “And I am al­so fa­sci­na­ted by the con­cept of the Me­di­ter­ra­nean me­tho­do­lo­gy de­ve­lo­ped by the ar­chi­tect Jo­sep Lluìs Sert, who left exam­ples of pu­re whi­te ar­chi­tec­tu­re on this island, whi­ch dia­lo­gue wi­th the land­sca­pe and lo­cal craf­tsman­ship.” Ur­quio­la has
