An extraordinary woman and artist, Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1653) was one of the most unconventional personalities of her time. This exhibition explores her life through 100 works on loan from prestigious private collections and important museums and includes works by other artists who influenced her or were influenced by her. The exhibition’s five sections represent the different places she lived in: Rome, Florence and Naples, a brief interlude in Venice and a short, but intense period in London. 30 November 2016 – 7 May 2017 Artemisia Gentileschi and Her Times Museo di Roma Palazzo Braschi, piazza Navona 2 / piazza San Pantaleo 10 Artemisia Gentileschi.
