Over the pa­st few mon­ths Otam has been hi­ghly pro­li­fic and is con­ti­nuing wi­th new pro­jec­ts. Fol­lo­wing the 100HT and the 115 Cu­stom Ran­ge, the com­pa­ny is now wor­king wi­th R+ P Ar­chi­tec­tu­re and wi­th Um­ber­to Ta­glia­vi­ni on the in­no­va­ti­ve 85’ GTS. The re­sult of their col­la­bo­ra­tion is a Lu­xu­ry Per­for­man­ce Su­pe­rya­cht whi­ch is es­sen­tial­ly fa­st, wi­th pu­re Otam DNA and loads of in­no­va­ti­ve so­lu­tions in terms of lay­out. This is the fir­st ti­me that an ow­ner can choo­se di­ver­se op­tions for the bow area. Mo­re spe­ci­fi­cal­ly a loun­ge and cof­fee ta­ble in lieu of a lar­ge sun ba­thing area. The de­si­gner team has al­so dra­wn up an un­pre­ce­den­ted su­per­struc­tu­re in­spi­red by the au­to­mo­ti­ve in­du­stry wi­th gull­wing ope­nings whi­ch ena­bles tho­se on board to en­joy the ya­cht li­ke a cou­pé whi­le crui­sing or, on a rai­ny or cold day by clo­sing the gull­wings, guests will be ef­fec­ti­ve­ly protected from the rain and cold wea­ther. When ly­ing to an an­chor wi­th the gull­wings open the­re will be en­han­ced clo­ser con­tact wi­th the sur­roun­dings. The stern end is open and steps lead do­wn to the bea­ch club area/ ba­thing plat­form whi­ch is al­so un­pre­ce­den­ted on Otam yachts. As for the in­te­riors ow­ners can choo­se from se­ve­ral op­tions. The yard’s spor­ty DNA is con­fir­med by the po­wer hou­se whi­ch can be ma­de up wi­th any of the two fol­lo­wing so­lu­tions: A pair of MTU 16V 2,600 HP en­gi­nes whi­ch will pro­pel the 85’ GTS to 45 kno­ts all out wi­th a crui­sing speed of 35. Al­ter­na­ti­ve­ly a pair of CAT C32 en­gi­nes de­ve­lo­ping 1,925 HP will de­li­ver a top speed of 38 kno­ts and a re­com­men­ded crui­sing one of 32. In bo­th ca­ses the en­gi­nes are cou­pled to Ar­ne­son sur­fa­ce dri­ves.
