Even when pic­kups are de­ployed as ‘work’ ve­hi­cles, the rou­gh, gu­tsy and ma­scu­li­ne look as well as their ‘off the road’ ca­pa­bi­li­ties ha­ve al­ways at­trac­ted ma­ny en­thu­siasts to the point that the au­to­mo­ti­ve in­du­stry has now been pro­du­cing mo­re com­for­ta­ble ‘road’ ver­sions for a few years. Mo­re re­cen­tly thanks al­so to the ad­vent of the SUV ge­ne­ra­tion, clas­sic pic­kups ha­ve been en­do­wed wi­th even mo­re ac­ces­so­ries in terms of dri­ving com­fort and de­si­gns whi­ch are on par wi­th cur­rent ten­den­cies. Mer­ce­des-benz has been at­trac­ted by this mar­ket seg­ment and has promp­tly pre­sen­ted this new X-class. The ran­ge of this li­ne is mo­re up mar­ket in terms of qua­li­ty in build, per­for­man­ce and ac­ces­so­ries whi­ch are all in li­ne wi­th lu­xu­ry ve­hi­cles ra­ther than wi­th ‘work ve­hi­cles’. Fi­ne tu­ning com­pa­ny Car­lex De­si­gn has de­li­ve­red its own in­ter­pre­ta­tion to the yachting world and as eve­ryo­ne kno­ws, it is ve­ry di­scer­ning and de­man­ding.
