Peverything British at thebritishmug.it. The #bookbreakfast project (a post with a book and breakfast each day) is an original invitation for reading that came about from a candid shot: “I had a book on the table by Lauren Hom, a designer who presents ironic artwork on her ‘Daily Dishonesty’ blog about little everyday lies. There was bread, butter and jam. And the coffee cup was the same color of the book cover. The result cheered me up”. Petunia created two shots for us, designed for children. “Calvino and Rodari were the authors of my childhood. To encourage children to read, you have to give them books when they’re very young to overcome that diffidence created when books are not everyday objects. It would be lovely if hospitals gave parents a book when their children were born”.
