he Cantor Arts Center, a museum with over 5,000 years of art history from around the world, was built thanks to the Stanford family’s passion for traveling. It has works of art and objects from various cultures. Each weekend, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., the museum offers a guided tour for the whole family. It starts with works in the large garden and continues inside, taking you on a journey amidst wondrous objects from the five continents. If the children aren’t interested in the classic tour while mom and dad enjoy the exhibit, they can join the ‘Art Packs’ group. Here kids can draw inspired by their imagination or by one of the works displayed, and they’re assisted by local painters and artists. If they want to make something with their own hands, they can participate in the ‘Studio Art-Making’ program that lets them experiment with different materials (paper, cardboard, modeling clay) to make small objects.
