An ocean view/ SWEET LIFE IN TRANCOSO
Courtney the mom and Robert the dad are a pair of famous architects who remodel and design dream homes in the United States and elsewhere. They have ‘just’ seven children, ranging in ages from seven to nineteen. Of the many places where the family has lived, one favorite is Trancoso in Brazil, where the Novogratz remodeled a gorgeous holiday home on the beach and designed a bucolic treehouse. The city is perfect for kid-friendly vacations, as the youngest of the home - Five, Holleder and Major - explain. What are your favorite activities? Mountain-climbing, going to the Eco Water Park in Arraial D’Ajuda and, of course, surfing. Sometimes we have lessons with Romualdo! Papelaria Aquarela, on the main road, which is specialized in arts&crafts objects. What book shop is a must-see? Livraria Nobel, where we always go to look for books about Brazil. What’s the most special museum? MTrancoso, a gallery specialized in works inspired by nature and made by local artists. Where’s the best place for breakfast? At home, in pajamas! Croissants, fruit, and homemade juices. Where do you go for your favorite snack? At Gelateria do Beco or on the beach for the best fried cheese on a stick and a bowl of açai berries. What’s your favorite restaurant? Maritaca. The pizza is fantastic. We’ve known the staff since we were little! Where’s the best place for a party? At home, with our brother Breaker as the DJ! What are your favorite excursions? Itaporanga Village, where we have fun playing with sloths and enjoy the atmosphere of the town which is different from anywhere else.
