URBAN LANDSCAPES Milan's urban landscape, and the metropolitan landscape in general, are the central themes of the exhibition entitled ‘Urban Perspectives. Portrait of a city' (3 -30 November), a collective show featuring the work of five Italian artists including Nadiaanna Crosignani, Paolo Sangalli and Livia Romilde Vaccaro, with their pictorial works, and Giorgio Lo Cascio (see photo) and Michele Ranzani, with their photographic images. The exhibition compares a series of widely differing techniques, taking viewers on an artistic journey whose roots, though steeped in tradition, also focus on expressions of a more contemporary nature. The landscape is a metaphoric context, an eclectic blend of the past and the present.
