This month’s round-up of shows, art exhibitions and concerts.

After the historic exhibition in 1951 that was dedicated to the famous Lombard artist in 1951, Palazzo

Reale is once again showcasing 20 of Caravaggio’s masterpieces. Displayed together for the first time, the works are on loan from several major Italian and foreign museums. Caravaggio was probably the most revolutionary artist of his time, renowned for his naturalism, his realistic settings and his theatrical and dramatic use of chiaroscuro. Using innovative multimedia

equipment, Caravaggio’s canvases will be shown alongside their respective radiographic images, offering viewers a chance to see what lies beneath the surface of the paintings and gain insight into the changes that the artist made between draft and final work. A truly unique experience! Dentro Caravaggio. Palazzo Reale, piazza Duomo 12. Open Mon 2.30pm-10.30pm; Tues-Wed and Sun 9.30am-8pm; Thurs-Fri and Sun 9.30am-10.30pm.avaggiomi
