Corso Buenos Aires

Served by three subway stops (line 1 Porta Venezia, Lima and Loreto), this long, straight crowded road is packed with an array of shop windows showcasing the wares of over 300 international ready-to-wear brands. Reputed to be Europe's longest shopping street with over 1.5 km of window displays, it offers shopping for all tastes and all budgets: sophisticated boutiques, alternated with trendy stores offering a variety of merchandise and numerous bars for a quick snack. Its side streets abound in restaurants, many of which are ethnic. A Saturday afternoon favourite with Milanese shoppers of all ages. Map H2-H3

Navigli

The Navigli is a widespread network of canals whose history is linked to Leonardo da Vinci. Today, the historic southern district is most made up of pedestrian-friendly streets bursting with trendy dining and nightlife spots, markets selling all kinds of wares and intimate wine bars. One of the hubs of the Milanese ‘movida', this is an absolute must-visit. Map D6-E6
