MI­LAN, AN OPEN-AIR MU­SEUM

Where Milan - - WHERE NOW HOT DATES -

For three days, Mi­lan will of­fer the pub­lic a chance to ex­pe­ri­ence the beauty and wealth of its artis­tic and cul­tural her­itage. More than 70 cul­tural venues in­clud­ing art mu­se­ums, his­tory mu­se­ums, sci­en­tific mu­se­ums, house mu­se­ums, artists' stu­dios and cor­po­rate mu­se­ums, scat­tered through­out the city but also lo­cated in sev­eral met­ro­pol­i­tan ar­eas, will trans­form the city into a mega arts cen­tre. From 2 to 4 March, the mu­se­ums in­volved will open their doors to the pub­lic with guided tours, spe­cial ini­tia­tives, chil­dren's work­shops and ex­tra­or­di­nary open­ings. As part of the MuseoCity ini­tia­tive, un­til 2 April the Sala delle Cari­a­tidi at Palazzo Reale will host a mul­ti­me­dia in­stal­la­tion ti­tled ‘Il Quinto Stato | Mi­lano, City of Mu­se­ums'. The event is cu­rated by art his­to­rian Ste­fano Zuffi, pro­duced by the Mi­lano Loves You As­so­ci­a­tion and or­ga­nized by the Magà Global Arts stu­dio, un­der the creative and artis­tic di­rec­tion of Yu­val Avi­tal. A vis­ual show of­fer­ing vis­i­tors a chance to en­joy a unique im­mer­sive ex­pe­ri­ence thanks to the screen­ing of 90 im­ages of master­pieces from var­i­ous Mi­lanese mu­se­ums.
