Innovative Neapolitan flavours

Where Milan - - DINING -

A brilliant new addition to the Milanese culinary scene, Chiuma's offers a range of classic and contemporary options in a sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere. By

This new restaurant is the brainchild of Marco Chiumenti and his wife Floriana Fedeli, and offers diners a culinary experience combining the traditions of Neapolitan cuisine with the creative, innovative flair of a team of young chefs. Mattia Susani, a young chef who joined Chiuma's brigade after some valuable working experiences at the Roof Garden in Bergamo and the Unico in Milan under chef Fabrizio Ferrari, helms the kitchen. Susani works alongside sous chef Nicola Viola who began his career at the Sail Inn restaurant, specializing in the processing of flours and doughs, with a particular emphasis on high-end pastry making. This new restaurant is enhanced by consultations with chef Fabrizio Ferrari and sommelier Davide Valerio. Marco's love of his origins and traditional Neapolitan cuisine shared with his chefs' quest for innovation are expressed in a

58 dynamic menu in which every dish is infused with the old-world flavours of Naples upgraded with a contemporary twist. Its elegant interiors, with eye-catching décor, feature a perfect blend of design, comfort and good food. Its cosy, light-filled spaces have an international feel, making it a perfect setting for lunch or dinner. Whether you're there for business or pleasure, dining at Chiuma's is a unique experience! The upper floor is an exclusive, intimate space that seats up to 34 diners. The lower floor, on the other hand, has 16 place settings divided up among larger tables for those in search of a more convivial experience. Being a restaurateur runs in Marco's blood. In the mid-nineteenth century, his great grandmother owned one of the most beautiful and elegant restaurants in Naples, ‘La Regina d'Italia'. This was one of the favourite haunts of Giulia Minero King Umberto I of Savoy and his wife Margherita. Although the restaurant was destroyed during World War I, the Chiumenti family's passion for elegance and good-quality food persisted, and Marco was finally able to fulfill his dream of opening his own restaurant.
