Gal­le­ria Vittorio Emanuele II

Lo­cated in the heart of the city, and known by the lo­cals as the ‘Liv­ing Room of the Mi­lanese', the Gal­le­ria is con­sid­ered the old­est shop­ping ar­cade in the world. This stun­ning feat of ar­chi­tec­ture is lined with some of the world's most fa­mous fash­ion and de­signer stores (in­clud­ing Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuit­ton and Ver­sace), land­mark res­tau­rants and cafés. Duomo

One of Mi­lan's most well-trod­den shop­ping routes starts at the Pi­azza del Duomo with the renowned depart­ment store Ri­nascente, of­fer­ing wide range of fash­ion items un­der one roof, sand con­tin­ues onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the pedes­trian street lined with the most pop­u­lar brand­name stores. Quadri­latero della Moda

An ex­clu­sive des­ti­na­tion for lux­ury shop­ping, the Quadri­latero is sit­u­ated just a short dis­tance on foot from the Duomo. This quaintly cob­bled quad­ran­gle of streets is bounded by via Montenapoleone, via della Spiga, via Gesù, via Bor­gospesso, via Santo Spir­ito, via Sant'Andrea and via Man­zoni. The Quadri­latero is a ref­er­ence point for the most pres­ti­gious Ital­ian and in­ter­na­tional fash­ion stores, where all the big de­signer names and most lux­u­ri­ous stores in the world con­verge. Brera

The heart of the Mi­lanese ‘movida', Brera is syn­ony­mous with the artis­tic heart of the city. One of the city's most pic­turesque ar­eas, its streets are lined with stu­dios, stores selling can­vases and paints, an­tique shops, art gal­leries and win­dow dis­plays show­cas­ing fash­ion items, ac­ces­sories, jew­elry and de­sign ob­jects. To­day it is a hub of ‘haute par­fumerie', pop­u­lated with big-name brand bou­tiques and ar­ti­sanal man­u­fac­tur­ers who cre­ate cus­tom­ized fra­grances. Map F3-F4

CityLife

NEW The area be­tween Parco Sempione and Fierami­lanoc­ity, the for­mer his­toric hub of Mi­lan's fair­grounds, has been given a makeover thanks to one of the most iconic ur­ban re­de­vel­op­ment projects in Europe. To­day, the district is home to res­i­den­tial and busi­ness com­plexes de­signed by archis­tars like Zaha Ha­did, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libe­skind.
