Ciro Salvo has opened his new pizzeria in Naples, an offshoot of the one in Massè in Torre Annunziata. Following indepth restructuring, Al Sarago, the landmark eatery in piazza Sannazaro, has now been transformed into 50 Kalò. Neapolitan entrepreneur Maurizio Cortese chiefly known for Cortese Way, an agency launched to promote the hidden treasures of Naples and its gastronomic itineraries, explains the choice of the name. “When Alessandro Guglielmini, my old school friend, took over the restaurant and handed me the keys, I was finally able to realize my secret dream: a pizzeria. Its name stems from the combination of 50, which in the Cabala stands for bread, and the Greek word Kalò, which means beautiful”. 50 Kalò. Piazza Sannazzaro, 201/ B, Naples.
