Fondazione Donnaregina is the best museum in Italy in 2015
‘ Artribune’, the magazine dedicated to the contemporary art world, has named the Madre in Naples as the best museum in Italy. Two years ago, the museum earned ‘ Artribune’s’ top ranking, surpassing all the other museums in Italy. This year, the ‘ Best of 2015’ list, signed by the editorial staff of the magazine, in addition to a select group of journalists, critics and external curators, rewarded the re- launch which was implemented by both the president of the Fondazione Donnaregina, Pierpaolo Forte, and the manager of the Museum, Andrea Viliani, at a time when the Museum risked closure due to a lack of funds from Campania’s regional government. The Museum is credited with featuring the best contemporary art exhibitions in the country and praised that has more than doubled over the past three years.
