How to reach Cilento

Cilento is sit­u­ated in the South of Cam­pa­nia, in the prov­ince of Salerno.

Here are the eas­i­est ways to reach the area and en­joy its beau­ties. By plane from the Naples In­ter­na­tional Air­port of Capodichino you can con­tinue on­wards ei­ther by car or train. From the small Air­port of Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi, sit­u­ated in Pon­tecagnano (Salerno), you can ei­ther con­tinue by train or take one of the city’s public buses.

The ex­its be­tween Bat­ti­paglia and Lagone­gro will al­low you to reach all the towns of Cilento. By train Cilento is crossed length­wise by the main Ital­ian rail net­work that con­nects Mi­lan to Reg­gio Cal­abria. It can be ac­cessed ei­ther by tak­ing a di­rect In­ter­city train or Eurostar, with a change at ei­ther Naples or Salerno. The main sta­tions in Cilento are: Ca­pac­cioRoc­cadaspide, Agropoli, Vallo della Lu­ca­ni­aCas­gtel­n­uovo, Ascea, Pis­ciotta, Capri­oli and Sapri.
