Sho­w­ca­sing over 270 precious ob­jec­ts, the ex­hi­bi­tion at Pa­laz­zo Du­ca­le ex­plo­res fi­ve hun­dred cen­tu­ries of jewel­ry pro­duc­tion as­so­cia­ted wi­th, or in­spi­red by, the In­dian sub­con­ti­nent. The col­lec­tion fea­tu­res stun­ning pie­ces crea­ted for the no­bi­li­ty at the peak of the Mu­ghal em­pi­re, the ri­ch com­mis­sions of Ma­ha­ra­jas un­der the Bri­ti­sh Raj, the ce­le­bra­ted In­dian-in­spi­red de­si­gns of Car­tier and in­no­va­ti­ve crea­tions of the 21st cen­tu­ry that ei­ther use hi­sto­ric In­dian gems, or are in­spi­red by tra­di­tio­nal forms of jewel­ry.
