45 years of Fr Ho Lung and Friends!

Jamaica Gleaner - - MOSES - Fr Richard Ho Lung Founder, Missionaries of the Poor (MOP)

THE NEW Moses! production will startle you. It is absolutely majestic, with an epic design for castles, mountain ranges, river floods, and Egyptian pyramids.

The production team went all out. There is a probing new script which searches out the characters of Moses, Miriam, and even God as He produces a new people.

There are new songs. Shame on Me, I believe, is a knockout, with inventive choreography. It depicts the vulgar and the sacred. The dance hall feel of Shame on Me is popular among the young. Pestilences is also brand new, featuring 12 dancers, depicting in special lights and choral drama the insects sent by God to punish the Egyptians. Moses strikes the rock three times, and water flows.

Then there is the haunting new song, The Journey, when Moses travels across the desert to follow the Lord’s voice.

BEAUTIFUL GIFT

It is now 45 years of production of Fr Richard Ho Lung and Friends. What a beautiful gift given by the Lord! It has been a powerful source of evangelisation in Brazil, Germany, England, The Philippines, Canada, the Caribbean islands, and many different parts of the United States.

Also, it has greatly helped to provide resources for MOP brothers and sisters who serve the destitute and the homeless in Kenya, Uganda, The Philippines, India, Indonesia, Haiti, Jamaica, and North Carolina. The brothers are internationally known for their free service to the poorest of the poor.
