Up­com­ing Caribbean Cup game post­poned

THE SCO­TIA­BANK Caribbean Foot­ball Union (CFU) Men’s Caribbean Cup foot­ball match be­tween Ja­maica and Suri­name, orig­i­nally set for this Wed­nes­day at the An­thony Spauld­ing Sports Com­plex, has been post­poned due to the im­pend­ing weather ef­fects of Hur­ri­cane Matthew, which up to press time was con­tin­u­ing to­wards Ja­maica.

A re­lease from the Ja­maica Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion (JFF) stated that: “The JFF wishes to in­form that based on a re­lease from the CFU, the Caribbean Cup qual­i­fier, Ja­maica vs Suri­name, has been post­poned. More in­for­ma­tion will be pro­vided in short or­der.

“This does not af­fect the Guyana vs Ja­maica fixtures for Oc­to­ber 11,” the re­lease added.

Ja­maica are the reign­ing Caribbean Cup cham­pi­ons.
