Lu­cas Cricket Camp scores big with NCB Foun­da­tion

THE AN­NUAL Lu­cas Cricket Camp caters to stu­dents eight to 14 years, mainly from neigh­bour­ing schools in east Kingston, and is aimed at sup­port­ing the de­vel­op­ment of cricket in Ja­maica, both at the club and na­tional lev­els.

Fifty as­pir­ing young crick­eters re­cently par­tic­i­pated in the pro­gramme, where they were ex­posed to the his­tory, the­ory and prac­tice of the sport. The NCB Foun­da­tion, hav­ing been on board with the project since its in­cep­tion, do­nated J$250,000 to­wards the camp’s third an­nual stag­ing.
