The Manchester Football Association (MFA) has sent formal condolences to the family of long-standing Mandevillebased journalist Paul Byfield.
Byfield, who primarily worked as a correspondent for CVM TV, has been a fixture in the coverage of domestic football in the parish for the last 15 years. He passed away last Friday after battling cancer.
According to the official message on the association’s Facebook page by its president, Dalton Wint, “The Manchester FA is grateful for the sterling interest Byfield took in the coverage of all its football competitions and programmes annually.” It notes that Byfield’s last assignment was his coverage of the South Central Under-13 competition in August, which Manchester won.
