Jamaica Gleaner - - SPCIAL -

MONTEGO BAY, St James: DANIEL IS 12 years old and is in grade seven. She loves to read and tell jokes, but singing is her passion. She is set to participate in TVJ’s All Together Sing with her school choir.

Daniel on winning: “I am overjoyed. I am also thankful because I could never have done it without the Lord; my dear mother; my wonderful coach, Ms Robinson.

“Go for your dreams because you can have everything you want in life if you work for it and have God in your life.”

Coach on winning: “I am above excited, really, I am especially thankful to God, not just Daniel. The three children I entered did well. I am extremely thankful.

“God is the foundation of all we do and, of course, hard work.” Windel Martin (left), of José Marti Technical High, is congratulated by spellmaster Jean-Paul Menou. 1.
