This was made possible through a contribution of US$500.00 from Michelle Grant-Pixely, a Jamaican residing in the United States. The donation is intended to support an early childhood institution and provide assistance towards meeting the requirements for certification.

The institution received five desks and 20 chairs, providing much-needed support to the institution in adhering to Standard 5 of the Commission’s standards for the operation and management of early childhood institutions. This standard places emphasis on institutions’ provision of indoor and outdoor equipment, furnishings and supplies that are safe, childfriendly and promote optimal development of children.

“I encourage the community to continue to protect this school and the children who benefit from it. Let us ensure that the children at the early childhood level are provided with the requisite support in order for them to realise their full potential,” Simpson Miller added.
