Church, Lions Club give aid to se­niors

Sharon Ann-Marie Wyn­terSmith (left), from the Lions Club of St An­drew, ad­vises se­nior ci­ti­zens on the pro­ce­dure to get the var­i­ous checks on of­fer at the We Care First An­nual Se­nior Day, spon­sored by the Fel­low­ship Apos­tolic Church and Chan­nel of Bless­ings Outreach Apos­tolic Min­istries Inc. The health fair was held at the Fel­low­ship Apos­tolic Church on Camp Road in Kingston on Satur­day. The Lions Club of St An­drew of­fered free blood pres­sure and blood su­gar tests, as well as choles­terol and vi­sion screenings. The event also co­in­cided with Lions Clubs In­ter­na­tional’s World­wide Week of Ser­vice to the Blind, which is an an­nual event among Lions Clubs the world over. A to­tal of 67 pa­tients were treated, some of whom re­ceived free glasses.
