BORN AND raised in Ha­vana, Cuba, RIU Ho­tels and Re­sorts – Ja­maica’s new di­rec­tor of sales, Ni­urka Gar­cíaLin­ton started visit­ing the is­land in the 1990s be­fore mov­ing here per­ma­nently in 1998.

“I have been tremen­dously im­pacted by this beau­ti­ful is­land and its peo­ple. Ja­maica wel­comed me with open arms and made me one of her own. I will be for­ever grate­ful,” said the wo­man who ad­mits that the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try has been one of her great­est pas­sions for over 20 years.

Hav­ing had ex­pe­ri­ence of be­ing a Des­ti­na­tion Man­age­ment Com­pany rep­re­sen­ta­tive in Cuba, Gar­cía-Lin­ton, who is mar­ried to a Ja­maican, said she has been priv­i­leged to work with amaz­ing com­pa­nies, in­clud­ing
