Jamaica Gleaner - - OPINION & COMMENTARY -

Twenty years ago, I identified Jamaica and other Caribbean territories as the best locations to maintain true organic methods, and expand as a world leader for natural wholesome agriculture. The spin-offs for every sector of society would be immeasurable.

However, government action, or inaction, is fast eroding this possibility, as agents of the State spend more time promoting harmful, lethal practices and products in the name of research and ‘progress’.

When are we as Caribbean people going to wake up and return to those practices that made us known for the best of everything we grew? We must stop murdering our agricultural industries, our people and our environment.
