Re­ward of­fered to help find child killer

THE JA­MAICA Col­lege (JC) Old Boys As­so­ci­a­tion is of­fer­ing a re­ward to any­one who can of­fer in­for­ma­tion lead­ing to the cap­ture of the man re­spon­si­ble for the mur­der of third-form stu­dent Ni­cholas Fran­cis.

The po­lice say Qua­cie Hart is wanted in con­nec­tion with the mur­der and are ask­ing him to im­me­di­ately sur­ren­der to the Half-Way Tree Po­lice Sta­tion.

An ap­peal is be­ing made by the po­lice to pas­sen­gers who were on the bus when the in­ci­dent took place to re­port any in­for­ma­tion that may aid in the on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

On Wed­nes­day, 14-year-old Fran­cis was stabbed to death on a Coaster bus in front of his school when he re­fused to hand over his cell phone to a rob­ber.

Pres­i­dent of JC’s Old Boys As­so­ci­a­tion Ma­jor Basil Jar­rett said yes­ter­day that so far the as­so­ci­a­tion had col­lected $215,000 to of­fer as a re­ward.

Jar­rett said per­sons wish­ing to con­trib­ute to the re­ward may con­tact JC’s Old Boys As­so­ci­a­tion, which has an of­fice on the school’s Old Hope Road cam­pus.
