Reward offered to help find child killer
THE JAMAICA College (JC) Old Boys Association is offering a reward to anyone who can offer information leading to the capture of the man responsible for the murder of third-form student Nicholas Francis.
The police say Quacie Hart is wanted in connection with the murder and are asking him to immediately surrender to the Half-Way Tree Police Station.
An appeal is being made by the police to passengers who were on the bus when the incident took place to report any information that may aid in the ongoing investigation.
On Wednesday, 14-year-old Francis was stabbed to death on a Coaster bus in front of his school when he refused to hand over his cell phone to a robber.
President of JC’s Old Boys Association Major Basil Jarrett said yesterday that so far the association had collected $215,000 to offer as a reward.
Jarrett said persons wishing to contribute to the reward may contact JC’s Old Boys Association, which has an office on the school’s Old Hope Road campus.
