It’s almost all systems go as the new water slide at Dunn’s River Falls and Park central gardens is being tested and commissioned. Observing the activity are Michelle Sawyer, assistant manager, Dunn’s River Falls and Park, along with Jerry Peterson, sales representative, United Industries Inc/Swimtime. The project, which commenced in October 2015, geared towards diversifying the attraction’s offerings, approaches completion. The new feature integrates a water slide with vending kiosks into a tropical garden setting. The Urban Development Corporation (UDC), which manages the facility through the St Ann Development Company, has received bids from prospective concessionaires to offer complementary goods and services, a measure which will facilitate increased business opportunities for entrepreneurs. These bids are currently being evaluated as part of the Government of Jamaica’s procurement process. The UDC is vested in the continuous development of the world-famous attraction for the sustained benefit of its vast intake of local and international visitors.
