Joshua Polacheck: US Embassy, Kingston

Jamaica Gleaner - - UNITED STATES ELECTIONS 2016 -

“We wouldn’t be so arrogant as to say there are lessons Jamaica can learn from the US presidential election.

“Jamaica demonstrated to the world in February that there was an orderly tallying of the votes, and once the results became clear, there was a seamless transfer of power. “We expect the same thing to happen in the United States.

“The embassy works for President Obama until January. As you can see, the Obama administration has created a number of non-partisan initiatives – the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative or the Caribbean Energy Security Initiative – and we don’t expect those to change, regardless of who is elected.”
