We look to your work for inspiration

Jamaica Gleaner - - HALL OF FAME -

BUTCH’S LOVE for country, positive outlook and commitment to his family and staff have all contributed to making Jamaica better and stronger. It is fitting that he should be recognised by the PSOJ, especially at a time when the country pursues economic growth with renewed focus and vigour. We can look to his work for inspiration and a solid example of what is possible when vision, passion and strategic consistency are applied.

Continental Bakery has been doing business in Jamaica for 64 years, while GraceKennedy has for 94 years. Our common histories in manufacturing, nation building, innovation and diversification have seen both companies through times of change and challenge. What has been consistently evident is the humility and savvy with which he conducts himself and his affairs. His very life reminds me of the GraceKennedy values of honesty, integrity and trust. For this I have tremendous respect for the man we celebrate today. Congratulations again, Butch, and best wishes to you and your family as you continue to chart courses that create and expand business and employment opportunities for Jamaicans.
