Mt St Joseph, Belair lead Howie Chin leagues
Three teams are locked on 13 points as the 2016 edition of the Manchester FA-Howie Chin Prep School League nears its semi-final round. They are Mt St Joseph’s, El Instituto, and Knox. However, Mt St Joseph have the clear advantage having played one game less.
The highlight of the week was Charagape Prep’s 6-0 demolition of Hillcrest with Alex Forbes slamming in five goals. In other matches, Mt St Joseph had a 1-0 win over Sacred Heart and similarly El Instituto over Knox, however, got some redemption later by shutting out Emmanuel 3-0.
Belair continue to lead the charge in the girls’ division despite being idle in the last round of matches. They have nine points from three games. Mt St Joseph are on seven points but have played two more games.
In the last round, Dania Lee Wint’s two goals gave Mt St Joseph a 2-1 win over Emmanuel Preparatory School but they then lost 1-0 to Knox for whom Jianna Tomlinson scored.
