Hill­stars, Alligator Pond ad­vance in Manch­ester KO

Two more teams se­cured pas­sages this week to the next round of the 2016-17 sea­son of the MFA-Bru­malia House Knock­out Com­pe­ti­tion. They are Hill­stars and Alligator Pond.

Alligator Pond hosted Star Zone Academy at their home field and were able to eke out a 3-2 ex­tra-time vic­tory. Dane Seaton was the hero, scor­ing his sec­ond goal and his team’s third in the 91st minute.

Ear­lier, he scored in the 69th minute to earn a 2-2 equaliser. Team­mate Kenji Thomas scored to give Alligator Pond a 1-0 lead only to see Star Zone Academy equalise and take the lead through goals by Imani Os­bourne in the 10th and Ricardo Johnson in the 23rd.

Hill­stars FC qual­i­fied af­ter spank­ing new­com­ers Trin­ity United 8-1. Kale Wil­son notched a brace in the 24th and 59th min­utes. He was joined on the score sheet by Thorn Simp­son (10th), Jarvis Mat­tis (27th), Travoy McDon­ald (64th), Ni­cholas Kelsey (75th), Tahja Reynolds (84th) and Cee­jay Lam­park in the 89th. Porus, Downs, Los Per­fec­tos and de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Ri­cam have al­ready ad­vanced.
