Bridge­port ad­vance in pri­mary foot­ball

Bridge­port ad­vanced to the semi­fi­nals of the INSPORTS Portmore Pri­mary Foot­ball League af­ter they de­feated Bel­mont Park 2-1 in Zone One ac­tion last Thurs­day. Bridge­port ended the pre­lim­i­nary round with 10 points. In other games, In­de­pen­dence Pri­mary moved to six points from four games as they beat As­cot Pri­mary 2-1 as Ja­heem Johnson scored two goals. De­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Water­ford Pri­mary are near qual­i­fi­ca­tion with eight points as they outscored Port Hen­der­son 3-2.

In Zone Two, the qual­i­fiers are Portsmouth (nine points), and Naggo Head (six points). Portsmouth the pre­tour­na­ment favourites get a test from Greater Portmore but won 3-2 with Tyrique Beck­ford scor­ing a dou­ble and Theon Copie added the other goal.
