Celebrating growth and development

Jamaica Gleaner - - 40TH ANNIVERSARY -

THE 40TH anniversary of Herbert Morrison Technical High School offers an opportunity to reflect, reminisce and celebrate the growth and development of the fledgling secondary school, started in 1976, into the stellar technical high school in Jamaica with more than 1,500 students enrolled in 2016.

I have been privileged from 2004 to see it firmly established as a formidable educational institution providing a wide swathe of academic, technical and vocational subjects. Herbert Morrison has accomplished its mission of providing each student with hands-on experience in at least one vocational or technical skill required in this technological era.

... a formidable educational institution providing a wide swathe of academic, technical and vocational.

On behalf of the board of governors, I extend heartiest congratulations and thank Almighty God for the dedicated academic, administrative and ancillary staff, past and present, who have guided and served Herbert Morrison Technical High as it evolved over these 40 years into a technical secondary educational institution par excellence.

The innovative vision, energy and commitment of the present principal, Mr Paul Adams, and the dedicated staff, board members, alumni and parents ensure that Herbert Morrison Technical High School will achieve even greater success promoting a culture of educational excellence for many more decades. VERONICA T. MORRIS Chairman Board of Governors
