Sewage nightmare in New Harbour Village

Jamaica Gleaner - - OPINION & COMMENTARY -

THE EDITOR, Sir: THE RESIDENTS of Phase 6 in the beautiful gated community of New Harbour Village 2 continue to be gravely affected by sewage issues. As I type, there is an overflow right along Island Circle. Our children haven’t been able to go out to play in

months, as when the sewage stops flowing, the road is not even washed off.

The citizens’ association has reached out via visits, phone calls and emails to every possible place: the National Water Commission, the Jamaica Public Service Company, the St Catherine Municipal Corporation, the councillor, the

superintendent of roads and works, to name a few. No update, assistance or guidance has been forthcoming.

We need someone to get the word out. TANIA RICKETTS tania.ricketts@gmail.com
