Bob Andy to per­form at One World fes­ti­val

Bob Andy will grace the stage of the first an­nual One World Ska & Rock­steady Mu­sic Fes­ti­val, at the Ranny Wil­liams En­ter­tain­ment Cen­tre, on Satur­day, Novem­ber 26.

Known for hits such as Un­chained, I’ve Got to Go Back Home and Too Ex­pe­ri­enced, among many oth­ers, Andy has also penned hits for per­form­ers such as Ken Boothe, Mar­cia Grif­fiths, Tony Rebel, Sanchez and Bri­tish pop stars UB40, among many oth­ers. He will be backed by Lloyd Parks and We the Peo­ple band.

While Bob Andy is join­ing the line-up, Mar­cia Grif­fiths and the Al­pha Boys’ School Band are un­able to per­form at the Fes­ti­val. Grif­fiths, fol­low­ing back-to-back tours to sev­eral Euro­pean coun­tries and Ja­pan, has been ad­vised by her doc­tor to rest. Paraguay to par­tic­i­pate in the VII In­ter-Amer­i­can Meet­ing of Min­is­ters of Cul­ture and High­est Ap­pro­pri­ate Au­thor­i­ties of the Or­gan­i­sa­tion of the Amer­i­can States (OAS) from Novem­ber 17 - 18, 2016 in Asun­cion.

Grange noted that the meet­ing will ex­am­ine, among other top­ics, Lo­cal Pro­duc­tion to Re­gional Con­sump­tion: Op­por­tu­ni­ties and Chal­lenges for the Cir­cu­la­tion of Cul­tural Goods and Ser­vices; Chal­lenges in the Gen­er­a­tion of Em­ploy­ment; So­cial In­clu­sion and Pro­mo­tion of Cul­tural Di­ver­sity and Re­gional Pro­grammes on the Cir­cu­la­tion of Cul­tural Goods and Ser­vices.

She will be one of two min­is­ters to open the di­a­logue fol­low­ing the pre­sen­ta­tions from the third ple­nary ses­sion. Grange will present Ja­maica’s per­spec­tive on the topic: Re­gional Pro­grammes on the Cir­cu­la­tion of Cul­tural Goods and Ser­vices.

The Min­is­ter said she is grate­ful for the op­por­tu­nity to also share Ja­maica’s pol­icy po­si­tions Team Scorch Dem presents Fash­ion Def­i­ni­tion at 2a Chelsea Ave, Kgn 10. Hosted by Camalla LaTouche.

The One World Ska and Rock­steady Fes­ti­val is at the Ranny Wil­liams En­ter­tain­ment Cen­tre, Hope Road. Fea­tur­ing Mar­cia Grif­fiths, Leroy Sib­bles and many more.
