The pharmacist – a relevant partner in moving Ja forward
OUR PHARMACISTS play a vital role in helping our people achieve optimal health by providing a wide range of services to patients, physicians, nurses and other industry professionals.
This Government believes wholeheartedly that a healthy labour force is paramount to driving Jamaica’s productivity and economic development. Your work in dispensing medication and offering valuable advice and information on various medicines is important to facilitate recovery and well-being.
Against this background, I am pleased to join the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica in honouring our selfless and diligent pharmacists during the week of November 20-26.
The theme, ‘Pharmacist: Advancing Sustainable Development Goals For a Healthier You’, signifies your commitment to supporting the advancement of our nation and its people. For this reason, we view you as relevant partners in moving Jamaica forward on its growth trajectory.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica must be commended for their significant role in the development of the profession through useful training and incentives which encourage sustained efficiency and effectiveness in the field.
To the pharmacists who will be recognised at the special awards banquet, I laud you for your professionalism and dedication in executing your daily tasks. May you continue to give distinguished service to your country and its people.
I wish for all a very successful week of celebrations as you continue to contribute to the development of our nation.
