JLP’s Allen made an ass of herself

Jamaica Gleaner - - OPINION & COMMENTARY -

THE EDITOR, Sir: AS I watched the local government debate on Wednesday night, the comment by Kenisha Allen, the Jamaica Labour Party candidate, that if you were ever bitten by a mosquito, you should not vote for the People’s National Party, spoke volumes to the ignorance and illiteracy of many of these young people who claim they want to represent Jamaica and Jamaicans in politics.

I was never aware that the mosquitoes in Jamaica were also politically inclined. What Ms Allen did was to make an ass of herself in very much the same way Andrew Holness did when he politicised crime.

Her attitude said it all. Class cannot be bought, because, God knows, she seriously needs some. If Ms Allen’s performance is what winning a debate is about, clearly many Jamaicans need to sit an IQ test and pass it before they are allowed to vote.
